Obviously, these delivery times are approximate. As we have our own manufacturing, we can often resolve urgent matters considerably faster than the lead times given above. However, we do have to decide on a case by case basis. We always send out an order confirmation with the relevant delivery date for your specific order.

 Yes, perhaps. This is something we have to decide on a case by case basis. There are a number of factors which determine whether a logo can be woven or not. Our machines’ weaving technology has certain limitations that we have to take into account. Factors that have an influence include how much detail there is, what kind of shapes there are and how many colours the logo contains. Contact us with your wishes and we will do our best to achieve as good a solution as possible.

That naturally depends on how long your design is in relation to how short the straps are that you want to purchase. We do everything we can to fit your design on the straps you have chosen. Sometimes it is impossible and we will then inform you.

In some cases it can be resolved through something that we call “photocell cutting”. Put simply, this means that we weave a customised pattern for each individual length and design it so that there is always a predetermined number of logos/texts on each strap. The straps are then cut in a special machine which can read the pattern and always cut at the right place. Here is an example of what it can look like:

Clearly this technique is great, so why don’t we use it with all straps? There are several reasons:

1. The technique is best suited for straps under 2 m in length as it is difficult for the cutting machine to manage longer straps.

2. This technique cannot be combined with either bevelled ends or mechanically rolled straps, as these tools are not available in the photocell cutter (however, mechanically rolled straps and bevelled end can be combined).

3. It entails a lot of extra work for our production staff. For example, we have to make several different patterns for the same customer, and it involves more handling in both the cutting and the sewing stage for production engineering reasons. If all straps were to be manufactured in this way, there would be both more expensive unit prices and longer delivery times.

The general rule is a maximum of 1+2 colours on 25 mm straps and 1+1 colour on 18 mm straps. This means that on a 25 mm strap you have a base colour (usually black) plus one or two additional colours for the pattern. There are examples on the product pages of what straps with several colours can look like. 18 mm straps are limited to a maximum of 2 colours for technical reasons.

We weave and sew all straps with woven text/logo to order, which means that we have to reset our weaving machines between each order through, for example, changing colours of the thread and inputting new designs. The turnaround time and labour input required means that we have to have minimum quantities for our production to be profitable.

A lashing strap has a simple buckle made of metal or cast zinc that can be slackened with a press of the finger. A ratchet lashing has a so-called pump ratchet which produces a lever effect and makes it possible to tighten the strap harder. They are available in different variants and sizes with the same basic function.

 All our straps with woven patterns are made of polypropylene (PP), which is a light but hardwearing material. It is also what our plain, standard straps are made of. Polyester (PE) is, however, a considerably stronger material and is recommended for products which will be subject to particularly tough environments, e.g. permanent installation outdoors or in environments where chemicals may be used. We have several different qualities of polyester strap to choose between in our production and select what is best for the customer’s needs and requirements.

It depends on a number of different factors, including:

1. Whether the strap is made of polyester or polypropylene.

2. What width and thickness the strap has.

3. Which buckle, ratchet or fitting the strap has.

4. What kind of stitching is used to sew the strap.

All our ratchet lashings have a label which indicates how heavy a load can be lashed. Straps are not labelled. We measure the quality of our different straps and lashings and test both lashing and breaking strength to ensure that our components maintain the right quality. We have our own calibrated and approved testing equipment, so if you need more specific figures on what applies for your particular straps, you can always ask us to test them for you.
